Great place for food, very reasonably priced. As a truck driver, it's a good place to park, cctv cameras, and security guard also. Cheap to park, showers, and toilets on site. Drivers get a code for the door when you pay to park up. Great banter with the owners. Give it a try.

Stopped here for breakfast on the way up to start the NC500. The breakfast was amazing, honestly one of the best we've had. The staff were friendly, and the food was freshly prepared and a high quality. Absolutely recommend stopping here.

I just want to express how amazing this cafe is. I got stuck on the A66 enroute to Scotland. Despite watching them bake their food from scratch, I was amazed at how professional and friendly Catherine and her husband were towards me. I had run out of petrol and was asking for directions to get to a next the next petrol station. Despite their busy schedule the wife gave me directions and gave me her personal number if i ran out of petrol enroute to the petrol station, so she could come and assist me. In all my 27 years of living in UK this experience humbled me and although i had no time to sit down and eat. Their extreme kind nature and watching them bake food from scratch definitely left a lasting impression. I definitely intend to revisit them the next time Im on the A66. Such an impressive couple and Cafe . Great vibe and environment to take a break in! Highly recommend!

Pulled in here as didn't want to stop at Scotch corner. Glad we did. Son had cheeseburger, said was lush and I had the biggest slice of carrot plus 2 teas. £11.50. Breakfasts looked fab,lots of other items on nenu.Great little cafe,not just for truckers and staff made everyone feel very welcome.

What an amazing little cafe, so glad we stopped for brunch. All freshly cooked and decent portion size. Good value for money. We will be stopping again on our next trip up

Old school. Sick of McDonald's & other fast food crap, gimme an old school truck stop serving REAL food every day of the week. Home cooked, fresh & huge portions. What more can you ask for? I'll definitely be back

What a place. This has to be the friendliest truckstop in the area. The cafe serves fresh, home cooked food at very reasonable prices. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served from 7am and there are a variety of breakfasts on the menu, Full English, Scottish and Vegetarian again at reasonable prices. Everything is cooked fresh to order and served piping hot. Fresh tea and coffee with proper teabags in proper mugs. I wouldn't stop anywhere else if I'm in the area. They have just invested in a brand new toilet and shower block which is a massive bonus when you have been on the road all day. The atmosphere in the cafe is brilliant, why would you sit in your cab when you can spend time with other drivers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and friendly truckstop.
